It appears that European officials may have been wrongly labelling e-liquid as extremely toxic. This is the view of ECITA the e cig trade body, based on a report by toxicology consultants by Professors Riccardo Polosa and Bernd Mayer, and Dr Jacques Le Houezec.

A letter signed by more than 50 researchers and public health specialists is urging the World Health Organization (WHO) to "resist the urge to control and suppress e-cigarettes".

Results of a new survey conducted by UCL, between 2009 and 2014, revealed that smokers are approximately 60% more likely to succeed in quitting if they use e-cigarettes.
